Goat willow (Salix caprea)

Goat willow grows wild throughout Europe and Asia. In Finland, goat willow is common throughout the whole country. We use goat willow for the back and sides of guitars. The light weight of goat willow makes it a wonderful tonewood. We use Finnish goat willow bought from a local supplier.
